Well its official today is the ninth day in a row that ALL of Montana has been tucked underneath a billowing cloud of rain, and snow!!!! now don’t get me wrong, i am kind of loving it, i love the rain, and have kind of missed it ever since i left FL. my mom on the other hand is kind of going crazy… not that she wasn’t already, hehe!!! yesterday we had like a two hour break in between the darkness so i decided i would go hiking, and clear my mind (i have had a really stressful week). So i drove up to the “M”, my favorite hiking spot and started the climb! it was great, i even took the long route, which winds you all the way around the entire mountain, giving you a 360 degree view of the area! while climbing i couldn’t help but notice all the beautiful effects of the rain, there were wild flowers of every color for as far as the eye could see, the grass was greener than i had ever seen it, and the smell was amazing!! i also noticed a few negative effects though, the trail was covered in mud, some areas i had to wade through, gross! and there were a few land slides, which was kind of scary because you could literally feel the ground below you moving!!
Whenever i go up to the M i always make it a point to hike all the way up before stopping, which all in all is about 2 miles. on the way down i take my time stopping along the way at some of the view point benches, where i can sit and stretch out, and look at the entire city way below me. on the way down i also like to run certain areas, it is so steep it makes it really hard to try to walk. i love it, i feel like a little kid when i run because no matter how hard i try i am always a little out of control. by the time i got to the bottom i was out of breath, with a smile on my face, and sweat running down my for head. and sure enough as i flopped my tired body into the car, and began guzzling my water the rain started to pour, and the clouds joined the party once again!!!
as a matter of fact the clouds just rolled in, and the thunder is a boomin’!!! guess i won’t be hiking this afternoon!
As most of you know at the end of the ski season (about 6 weeks ago) i took a job with a local rafting company!! i was so excited for this job, although i was not going to be guiding i thought it was pretty much the perfect job for me, not to mention with such great pay i would be able to just work one job!!! YES!!! so for six weeks i have been looking forward to this job, counting down the days until i could not only start work, but also until i could get my first paycheck… which by this point would be MUCH needed.
Well after over a month of waiting it was finally time to start training and preparing for the season. I did 2 office training days, and got set up to go down the river (all office employees are required to raft the river before answering phone calls about the river). the day before i was suppose to go down the river and start work i get a call from my boss telling me that they had a girl from last year come back, and that they would no longer need me for the job!!!! WHAT!!!! i can’t tell you how upset i was, if blood could boil mine would have! not only was i super pissed, and really annoyed, i was scared, i had no idea what i was going to do for money, not to mention this was the first time EVER i didn’t have a job, and i hated it!!! My boss continued to tell me that i was welcome to come rafting with them tomorrow, in which i quickly, and very nastily replied “actually i’m going to have to spend that time looking for a new job, since i have relied on this one for the past 6 weeks!!”
So now here i am a few days later, and much calmer, and i know its for the best, sure i’m still mad, but what can i do? i have a job interview tomorrow, and in the mean time i have taken a paper route. haha ya i know i feel like i am seven when i say that, but it should be pretty sweet, its an extra $800 a month, besides its only 2 hours a day, and i will be done by 6:30a.m.!!!

it has come to my attention lately that i have totally neglected my blog… i can’t even really remember the last time i sat down to write on it! so i decided to write a little list to describe all the reasons i have been preoccupied!!!
