woodstock_music_festival_poster.jpgIt has been said that I am some what of a hippy, which some might take offensive, but i must say i love being a hippy.  Its great i get to hug trees, wear cool close, listen to great music, not to mention i have the coolest hippy tattoo in the world.  To some being a hippy might mean that you are lazy, unbathed, and permistoned.  I think that being a hippy means loving our earth, believing in our youth, being one with nature, and having steller fashion.  So say what you want, but if being a hippy is good enough for Bob Dylan than its good enough for me.

Gnomes, I love them, they are cute, retro, and kinda creepy! Those who know me know that I have a gnome that means  so very much to me.  His name is Stanny.  Whenever I think of gnomes I think of the travelocity commercials, or that video the “traveling gnome”, if you haven’t seen it i would recommend  looking it up.

Flip Flops:  I never really understood just how much i loved flip flops until this morning when i was trying to pick out some shoes to go with my outfit.  Don’t get me wrong i love being back in the cold weather, and wearing socks, but i miss the simplicity of just tossing some thongs down and scootin out the door.  Not to mention the fact that they are a stylish, and affordable part of everyones wardrobe.  They come in every imaginable color, and material, and can dress up, or down any outfit!  Flip flops also bring a certain feeling to mind when i put them on, they remind me of sand between my toes, the sound of the ocean, and the smells of tropical fruits.  Facebook:  I know its corny, but i really love facebook, it really is brilliant!  I love getting on and stoking people by looking at their pictures, making fun of the emiture college students in their drunken stooper, taking blury photos of their “wild” nights.  I love sending messages to people i don’t want to take the time to email, or don’t want to hear the sound of their voice.  No, but really i love facebook, it is a great way to keep up with people that you used to know, or people who you just don’t want to go visit!

I love to EAT, it is probably one of my favorite things to do!  I  mean really what else can you do when you are cold, hot, young, old, skinny, or fat!  Eating never goes out of style, and there are so many choices there is never time to get sick of a certain food!  Eating brings families together, brings back memories, creates memories, and if your really lucky eating food while thinking about memories can even make food shoot out of your nose!  If you think about every single person thinks about food at least 3 times a day, EVERYONE!  mmmm writing this blog is making me hungrier than i already was!     Easter:   I love Easter, I love what it stands for, i love the colors, the candy, the cute bunnies everywhere, its just a good time!

Dora: I think the word Dora is one of my favorite words, i know it sounds crazy, but my niece is obsessed with Dora.  Whenever Harper sees Dora on TV, in the store, or is listening to her in the car she proceeds to scream Dora’s name over and over.  I love it, sometimes when i am on the phone with her and i can’t get her to talk i will simply say something about Dora, and she will just go off!   Donuts:  MMMM, if there is one think i truly love its donuts.  Its funny though i really don’t like the ones you get fresh from the bakery, i like the ones that come in the packages that you can get at 711, or grocery stores!  They remind me of childhood, everything from the waxy wrappers, to the quickly melting chocolate, to the dry bubbly breaded inside.  When i was a kid my mom would get them for me as a treat and hide them in random  places around the house, which i would always try to find!   Harper and CC

Chair Lifts:  Ok so i know that there is probably something wrong with the fact that i like chairlifts so much, but they are really quite amazing if you think about it!  When arriving at the mountain day after day i continue to have the same routine, i boot up, bind in, and cruise over to the lift line.  I love the feeling of my butt hitting the cold seat, the fact that i can see my breathe in front of me, and hear the laughter of the children behind me.  Every time i ride the lift i get this feeling in my stomach, kinda like butterflies or something, i get nervous and excited!  Chocolate: Alright so ya pretty much every girl loves chocolate, but i think its more of an addiction to me.  I will try just about anything that has chocolate in the name, i have even tried chocolate ale (not my fav chocolate treat).  The best part about being single is the fact that it is so versatile, you can have it cold in ice cream, hot in coco, and right out of the wrapper.

B was kind of a hard one for me to come up with, but when in a bind i turn to my itunes playlist just in time for the song “Bathtime in Clerkenwell”!  I know what a name for a song, but seriously you have to give it a listen, it is so much fun.  Whenever i find myself in a sour mood i crank this one up and suddenly i become this goofy little kid again!  it sounds like something you would here in a foreign country, mixed with something that reminds me of cotton candy and hot dogs! Bike:  I love bicycles wether they are old, new, mountain, street, or even motor.  Bicycles are truly one of the only “fads” that never goes out of style.  Bikes remind me of childhood, and freedom.  I can still remember those first few peddles i took on my own, i felt free, and untamed, it was my getaway car at five!  For over ten years of my life my bike was my main form of transportation, in fact my bike is sitting in the next room right now.  When i think about my childhood my bike was like my batmobile, where  i went it went, i have memories of riding it to the Candy Emporium, the creek, the park, the grocery store.  My dad and i used to ride our bikes up the canyon out of town, we would ride like ten miles, just he and i.  We  would race up the hills, cruise down the flats, and i would scream when i was forced to ride over the cow grids ( its like a gate placed on the road, and if the cows try to walk on it they get stuck).  The bike has really been my friend these days too, i have some cracked ribs, and a messed up tail bone so for rehab they have me riding the bike at the local gym.  Its funny these days my primary use for my bike is transportation of course, but i use it as a form of fitness, while being a child it was just another fun game to play.
